Just a quick post this week to congratulate our second graders on a phenomenal performance last night!  Their performance of John Jacobson’s “Dino-Stars!” was so much FUN!!!   They sang with beautiful singing voices and great stage presence.  Our speakers and soloists were all so well prepared.

Also, a special thank you to all our parents who helped by coaching speakers, making hats, decorating the stage, and gave a hand the night of the show.  I truly appreciate you and would not be able to do this without you!

“Expression” is the way a musician changes the sound of his voice or instrument to convey different emotions.  4th graders this week took a short poem and made choices  about their performances to try and convey different emotions.  Those choices included pitch, tempo, dynamics, and body language.  The below video is from Ms. Rich’s 4th grade class.
