Have a wonderful fall break!  Be sure to sing some songs, play some instruments, or maybe dance!

K – We learned about our different types of voices and where it is appropriate to use each one:  speaking voice, whisper voice, shouting voice, and singing voice.

1 – We learned the hand symbol for “LA” our newest solfege syllable. We use a fun story called “Pitch Hill” to help us learn solfege and all the hand symbols.

2 – We added an instrument part to the song “Shake Them Simmons Down” from last week and then played an instrument rotation game so the students got to play all the instruments in our Orff Orchestra.

3 – We read the story “Frog in the Bog” using a simple instrument song.  Each time the frog got bigger our students played a louder dynamic.

4 & 5 – Evaluating ourselves is one of our 1st quarter standards. We watched a recording of last week’s class performances and the students rated themselves using iPads and a Microsoft365 form.
